Fishing out of Destin, Florida, With me on the charter boat La Bella in April and May is an exhilarating experience. The Gulf of Mexico offers a variety of fish species during these months, making it a prime time for anglers.
In April. While trolling near shore you can expect to catch species like Cobia, Kingfish, and Spanish Mackerel. The waters begin to warm up and are teeming with activity, and the weather is generally pleasant, making it an ideal time for a fishing trip. Bottom fishing also is excellent as we target Trigger Fish, Vermillion Snapper, Almaco Jacks, and as we fish a little deeper Scamp, Snowy and Yellow edge grouper
May brings even more excitement as the fishing season peaks for several species. You can target Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, and Tuna. The warmer waters attract these fish, providing ample opportunities for memorable catches.
Don’t forget to bring your favorite snacks, drinks, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses to stay energized and protected during your trip. We should be getting much better weather between now and Easter weekend, right into May, which is usually a calm weather month. I am looking forward to taking our customers out to make new exciting memories.
